You can get points from army schools, civilian education, acft score, weapons card, awards, etc. Each mos has different point cut offs. So them being 20 points away means they had (again random numbers to make it easy) 180 points and the points needed to pick up e5 were at 200.

Has anyone see a chart for how points will be scaled to acft scores ie a spc with a 600 will get 180 points towards promotion to sgt. That is saying a 600 on the acft is worth 180 points and lets say you get a 590, thats worth 178 points instead. With the new changes in 2023 the acft will be worth less points.
