Jeep Cherokee Won T Start Brake Locked - Global Network
Sep 13, 2016 · i have a 2015 cherokee that occasionally acts weird when i try to start it. I turn the key and it starts but the brake pedal freezes/locks and the gearshift won't move out of park. I had the gearshift mechanism replaced (under warranty) but it is still doing it.

May 17, 2014 · my solution has been to get out of the jeep, use the remote start (it starts just fine) and then get in and drive on normally since i haven't been able to get to the dealer yet. Swap out any blown fuses and verify brake sensors are functioning properly. The starter and alternator should also be inspected for any issues.
